Two main components to the CPET

Resting Pulmonary Function Testing:
The patient performs supervised breathing maneuvers into a spirometer to assess baseline respiratory parameters.
Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) Testing:
The patient will be instructed to exercise on a treadmill or bicycle ergometer while wearing a sealed facemask for continuous gas exchange analysis (measuring oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production).
A finger-clip pulse oximeter is applied to monitor peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SpO₂) throughout the test and during recovery.
